El Enemigo Chardonnay 2019 (Mendoza, Argentina)

A unique chardonnay from a high altitude vineyard in Argentina. This full-bodied chardonnay was fermented using wild yeast and spent a period of time in French Oak barrels. El Enemigo is an expressive chardonnay with notes of cooked apple, lemon curd and vanilla with a creamy texture. The winemaker allowed flor to develop in the barrel, the flor again added notes of chamomile and salinity. Long finish. A delightful wine to drink now, El Enemigo will continue to develop in the bottle and can be aged with a drinking window of 2030-2035.
